i counted 55 bass drum sounds. anyone know how many the spd 30 has?

@Bostonbird733 There are 23 kick drum instruments on the SPD-30 and there are 50 kick drum instruments on the SPD-20.

@rahmank82 I have a PD-9 pad I can hook up for a high hat, a FD8 high hat foot control pedal, a PD-85 pad that I use for a snare, and a KD-7 kick trigger. This becomes a complete electronic drum kit perfect for those gigs in small spaces. With the right sound system, this thing sounds huge! I really like it! :-) I don't have any experience with the SPD-30 as of yet.

@rahmank82 I really like the SPD-20! The pads are large and respond well to each stick hit. The built-in sounds sound great and work well for almost any style of music. The unit is very sturdy and most of the top panel is mostly waterproof. This is really nice for those times when you get stuck outside playing a show and rain clouds start appearing over the stage.

But you can change all the built in sounds to make your own sounds with the built in FX.

@tfrost1988 These sounds are the sounds that are built into the SPD-20. The samples cannot be changed or removed. But, they can be edited to some extent with pitch, attack, velocity, effects, and that sort of thing. They can be combined and layered. They can be assembled into your own original drum kits.
