  • man i just luv building rc cars, although it takes FOREVER to build the stupid shocks and to get the right amount of shock fluid...awesome build!!! would you recommend the savage x ss?

  • Ya know, the Savage X is a great platform. Its tough and can take one hell of a beating. Altho the one downside is how much work it is to work on it. With the way that its built, its just a pain.

  • does the 3 speed trans come standard or did u buy that extra

  • Thats extra....

  • nice man nice to see another savvy x ss on youtube being built lol check out mine. hey u know the k4.6 you got with yours how long did it take for break in? its takin me 2 months. 21 tanks and still not yet fully broken in yet so atm i have no clue how much longer it will take. is it abnormal for an engine to take more than 16 tanks of break in? iv heard of many cases of too much compression from factory but atm im not so sure lol

  • Thanks man. Break in for me didn't take long, idled on tank, 1/4 throttle another, 1/2 throttle another, 3/4 throttle another, then I took it easy a couple tanks. At that point I let her rip. My pinch wasn't too bad altho mine hated the cold, if she wasn't warm she didn't start. My buddies Savy's pinch was insanely tight tho. With mine there seemed to be a barrier that it hit where you could tell that she was ready to go. Let her rip tho at this point, she is broken in, just maybe still rich.

  • @wiseguy3501 hey with this kit do you have to build the difs from scratch or are they pre built. i had to take my savage 25 all the way apart to do the diffs and the next day go it back together and drove for mabey 10 minutes and there goes the diffs. i dont think i properly shimed them but anyway i dont want to deal with that pain in the but again. but i do like building stuff so i think this may be fun. please reply. and does it tell you how to shim the diffs in the instruction booklet?

  • 1:29 the mountain dew is replaced with another mountain dew
