dude thanks for everything i reinstall that mplayer-codecs-all and now it works...mmm do you think you can give me your email... just in case...please...XD-- if you want of course..

Hm weird. Amarok plays MP3 right out of the box for me.
Have you asked this in the LinuxQuestions(dot)org forums?
I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't play mp3.
Have you tried other music players like "Juk" (which should be preinstalled)

Just go to slackbuilds(DOT)org and search "mplayer-codecs-all"
After you install that, all the xine-based media players should play just about everything.
Also install libdvdcss (also at slackbuilds) if you want to play dvds

hey man how do you play mp3 files in slackware because i can´t i mean i can but just with kmplayer and i want to play them with amarok but xine engine doesn´t have those codecs.
