  • may i know where to get compiz fusion 0.7.8? im new to linux.

  • course not man thanks... XD

  • stevenlinuxuser @ yahoo . com

    Don't spam me :-P

  • dude thanks for everything i reinstall that mplayer-codecs-all and now it works...mmm do you think you can give me your email... just in case...please...XD-- if you want of course..

  • Hm weird. Amarok plays MP3 right out of the box for me.

Have you asked this in the LinuxQuestions(dot)org forums?

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't play mp3.

Have you tried other music players like "Juk" (which should be preinstalled)

  • i did that but amarok doesnt play mp3 anyway... :( please help me

  • Just go to slackbuilds(DOT)org and search "mplayer-codecs-all"

After you install that, all the xine-based media players should play just about everything.

Also install libdvdcss (also at slackbuilds) if you want to play dvds

  • hey man how do you play mp3 files in slackware because i can´t i mean i can but just with kmplayer and i want to play them with amarok but xine engine doesn´t have those codecs.
