although i agree, it was dumb of him to say regular listerine

Did that idiot say to use listerine?! You should never use an alcohol based antibacterial for a mouth piercing... It kills all of the good healing bacteria. Anybody with basic knowledge knows that... A non-iodized sea salt saline solution is the best thing for it.
