First is this for our updates and information on the community's accepting 400 hearing aids. But they (OSD) obviously are regressed by EMHE's surprise visit.

I also have this info that MM is part of hearing aids' give-a-away program. I don't think she would back down from the giving part. It's too generous.

So I sent to one of these people who work in OSD by checking this url.
http://www.facebook.com/l/506b8;www.osd.k12.or.us/?id=990 I would pick one of these to send them an email and demand their response if EMHE ever talked about ASL?
OSD's ASL specialist: Colleen Thayer or Director of OSD Patti Togioka

Next, this is a long process but I did it this afternoon. Instead of sending them application to suggest who they should build some one's house, I sent them a letter explaining that ASL is vital language and I hope they support that, and beg them not banish ASL by giving away hearing aids and make the ability to hearing a big deal. Since I can't find their email address, I sent them by doing an old fashion way, write a letter to the address this gave us. http://www.facebook.com/l/506b8;abc.go.com/shows/extreme-makeover-home-editio...

Last, click on "Like" so we can comment on this page. I probably would make a comment soon on this FB if I don't hear anything from the OSD community. But anyone can educate on FB as well. But be generous, and nice...educate them politely first as an ultimately important step before we become firm in preserve ASL.

Yes, this is a long progress but it is worth it to remind each other in Deaf community that we MUST and NEED to do something. Contact EHME as one way, one of MANY ways. "
