Hello!
Since I just got a stand for my camera I wanna record myself practicing more often. Here are some excerpts of my practice of January 8th 2009. I focused on involving and orchestrating the 3-2 clave in a swing. Finally I tried to interprete and develop it with other comping ideas.
Moreover I had some comping and melody ideas in mind and since I watched a lot of Cory Cox (Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet) I felt so inspired.
And furthermore I worked out some Tony Williams-esque patterns, groupings of 4, 5 and 6.
Best wishes,
Karl
I have been having trouble coming up with stuff to play at slow tempo swing, this helped a bit. Solid stuff Karl!

Hello! first i have to say that really good drumming! and i like the ide of the video with the visuals, though it starts to get somehow boring as the video is kinda long! I would maybe have EQ:ed the bass drum down a bit as its sound is kinda massive please go and check my videos and throw some feedback! :P

Hi Karl,
