@MrLeebo123 Ball Rimini carpenters were the babies, think I paid £70 in '87 for them. More expensive than AJ, Valentino and Ciao etc.

If you want the closest experience to what it was like at footy in the 80's WATCH THIS FILM! OK the clothes are a bit wrong some of the acting's a bit wooden and the dialogue isn't the quote a minute style of the original - but - this is the first film to capture the really important part of football violence - the violence.
It is cinematic genius that will probably never get the recognition it deserves and I can't believe anybody saying otherwise was ever there.

What a load of shit. The original was superb, why Love felt the need to wank all over it is beyond me. Surely he could have done something original. I was 16 in 1984 and grew up in South East London. No one wore tracksuits like that, its ridiculous. All the comments made by others below sums that up perfectly- if you were there you remember the fashion. I get the feeling that Love was nowhere near it.
Likewise i never heard anyone use words like "Don't get Lemon" or "Garms" in the 80s. Pony

@sorted65 yeah word up!
Not a patch on the original.
Fashion is way out too, adidas obviously but I never remember lads in full tracksuits. If thats mid eighties it was the french stuff - kickers, nafnaf,and Lois cords,suede jackets. For the select few that could afford it that is.
ID caught the terrace vibe alot better.
If Love was 'at it' back then he got a good pair of rose tinted glasses.
