  • how do u control the vnt?

normally the vnt part only gives boost when u floor the accelerator, when cruising the nozzle is set for no boost so if u use a wastegate the turbo is an exhaust restriction off load and it overheats.

be better connecting it physically to accelerator via a spring and have a wastegate type diaphragm connected to the vnt also so when boost is reached it over rides accelerator spring and moves vnt to off boost.

  • @tpvalley Your description only controls how fast it spools up to maximum, a very poor performing option.

To control a VNT correctly requires boost to be proportional to engine load.

  • 4x4 ?!!

  • @zsmh102 AWD dyno.

  • Can you not read the description?

  • Make me want to get rid of my 300D non-turbo.

Keep telling myself going to get one when this one dies, but we all know these things last forever. So... ;-)

  • Awesome! Love Mercedes-Benz diesels. Great cars!
