Denshimail for 2009/04/27

Together at a convention for the first time since Tokyo Game Show 2007, SeanOrange and Vinnk field a question about homebrew Famicom games at No Brand Con 2009 (in SPAAAAAACE!) in Eau Claire, WI. Sean talks about the modded carts he saw at his recent trip tp Midwest Gaming Classic, and Vinnk discusses the Playpower Foundation.

  • the Famicom is still great and amazing. I'm glad I own a model 2 and Model 2 Disk System.

  • @nensondubois I assume by the model 2 Famicom you mean the AV Famicom (HVC-101), but there's no other version of the Disk System besides the Twin Famicom O_o

  • sean,STOP LYING

  • The more you know ~_^

  • Kinda hard to hear, but I got the gist of it.

If I ever wanted to do NES homebrew I know the first thing on my list would be a Power Pak.

  • @SeanOrange

I should have clarified: I have a Famicom HVC-CPU-06 revision model, and a Famicom Disk System revision where the Japanese text on the right side of the front is removed. I don't have an AV Famicom, or a Twin Famicom. I hope this makes a little more sense.

  • That noise that starts at 0:09 .... I know what game that's from!!! It's from my first N64 game =P Pokemon Stadium! Right before you start that mini-game with the Lickitung!

  • subtitles would be a nice touch. Can't really hear what's going on. :/

  • i hope vinnk hits you with a cartridge with a twin famicom
