The prize is awarded to an organization with demonstrated success in alleviating human suffering. Zainab tells of the inpsiring women she has met and cites her favorite Rumi quote. September 2006.

    psychoskier, if you really are Zainab's cousin, please convey to her my admiration and hopes for the best of everything. She has overcome amazing things and helped so many ... I am proud to have read her book. Her story touched me deeply (we are the same age, but I was raised in the US while she went through what she did in Iraq). I am humbled by her strength. I hope her personal dreams come true.
