@MrConor12344 but the low E and the high B and E strings are the same in standard tuning as they are in open E.

@MrConor12344 Derek plays in open E tuning.

hey there are loads of people writing "great job" so I'm assuming the problem is misunderstanding on my part. I've tried it the way you said (standard tuning, 4th on G string etc) and it doesn't sound right to me at all. I saw elsewhere it should be tuned to open E but the way you played sounded good. It would really help if you could angle your camera so we can see both hands more clearly. I'm a novice on guitar so this isn't criticism - just want to learn. thanks.

@8khale88 it'll be tough for me to put a video out because im on the road w/o a camera or guitar. I'm guessing you're having trouble with the picking hand so let me just briefly describe the picking pattern. you want to pick the low E string w/ the G string at the same time, then pick the high E, B, and G strings in a row (not same time). slide your finger up the G string to the next position, then repeat. Hope this helps... sorry I couldnt do more

I'm still a bit confused. Is this in standard tuning? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

@vertigayle yes it is standard tuning. for the main bit all you do is move your finger up and down the g string while playing the high e, b, and low e strings. make sure youre not hitting hte d or a strings. see if that helps
