it will require surgery to fix if you wait too long, if its in the pinky they will put 2 pins and a plate after they re-break it in the OR, but you would be asleep. its about a 30-45minute surgery. im a Medic now and help in the OR and thats usually what has too happen. and in 2007 i went threw the same crap, i was embarrassed because i punched my cousins 1947 model truck and it dented the truck but snapped my pinky off haha, but people dont wait go to the doctor asap and it is a simple fix.

@jusseric you should of went to the DR. a long time ago, now its already healed a lil bit and it will require surgery to fix, if its in the pinky they will put 2 pins and a plate after they re-break it but you would be asleep. its about a 45minute surgery. im a Medic now and help in the OR and thats usually what has too happen. is your finger dropping way down? say 45deg. and you will have a permanent knot there. ive seen a ton of them and back in 07 i had surgery bcuz i waited 8days too long.

@monsterfisher1998 Depends a little on the patient, but 6 weeks is a good start.

I went to the Dr. and he didn't set my nuckle. I wonder if I could have someone do this to my hand at home. Any suggestions?

@sentinelofawareness If you have a significant deformity or angulation, you should try and get it reduced before it heals. The problem is that the muscles tend to pull the broken portion right back into the excessive angulation. You probably should try and find out if the bone was not severely angulated enough to need reduction or if it needs reduction before it's too late.

@lmellick I have the same fracture but in my case the fracture was more at the wrist on the 4th and 5th finger(ring and pinky). My question, is it ¨too late¨ for me to do anything its been two year since it happend. I keep putting it off I know it wasn´t the smartest thing. What can i do.

@45southofhtown The bones have healed in the position. Unfortunately, it is probably to late to do anything about it without some complicated surgery.
