@FergMartice It's like 4.5 lbs. It's heavy, you can see the weight in the video as I struggle to hold it one handed, its shaking because it hard to hold one handed. It's no tablet for sure, but if you have sat down and it resting on your lap or maybe the arm of the couch it's perfect.

@TheBlackKnob I had lost the stylus, its pretty accurate with a finger. I find the screen "not smooth enough" for something like angry birds. That personal preference of course but after a modern smart phone and tablet the screen feels kind of "dragging". I can't remember the different touchscreen drivers I went through but the microsoft ones were by far the best. You can't quite calibrate to the full end of the screen, 1/8" away or such.

@koity1 Not really much improvement. When you close the start screen it's basically Windows 7 underneath so battery was about the same.

How heavy is this laptop. I have a guy selling a mint one but I'd like to hear first hand how heavy it is.
Can you help me telling me how to configure the fingerprint reader? I couldn't (tx2000 cto).

@merlinhg I don't have the laptop anymore but the fingerprint reader was the biggest nightmare of the whole thing. I'm pretty sure I installed "TrueSuite 5", from Authentec which makes the sensor for laptop. It was a trial and cost like $20 to buy, i think the Windows login works even after trial ends, I just used the trial. What I can't remember is if I had to do some funky driver stuff or if the suite included the driver. Try checking out truesuite trial and get back to me.

how did you get video drivers to work? right now, it defaults to the default Microsoft driver at 1024x768?

@onlysublime I'm pretty sure I just downloaded the catalysts for win7(64bit for my install) from AMD. It's a mobility 3200HD. I can't remember if I was able to install it or had to run the exe and then install driver from device manager.

@TheWatanabe2011 depends on if you want to keep windows 7 and dual boot, you will have to partition the hard drive appropriately. Just download win8 preview and install. Windows8 installed a touchscreen driver, I can't remember if there was an updated one though but the microsoft one gave me the best results and I installed a few.
