Dustin & Ally teach The Pulse. If you only learn one move in Blues Dancing, this is the one! It can get you through a whole song all by itself!

    2. Do you want to pulse at what you assume to be your maximum weight transfer rate? For example, if the song is something like 60bpm and I want the follow to lag minimally, would I want to be pulsing at 120bpm to pull off a quick-quick weight transfer? Otherwise, if we are pulsing at 60bpm, and I decide to weight transfer twice during one pulse, wouldn't one of the follow's weight transfers have to occur mid-pulse, when the follow is split weight and not able to anticipate it?

  • Really enjoyed the video and am studying it for insight.

If you have the time though, I had a couple questions concerning the pulse:

    1. When you are "lifting the bowling balls", does your core go no higher than the height at ready/starting (split weight?) position or is the ready position a mean with the peak of the "lift" being greater? I am trying to figure out which joint/joints are predominantly bending to create the "settle into the ground".

  • great videos - thank you - like the way you teach about the connection very much -
