I"m trying to build my own sub right now. I'm still drawing up plans and I still need materials.

hey alec! this is ben cottrell. while I'm writing this we are just returning from our trip to Maine to visit George Kittredge. but I must say these videos are a great way to let the subs e known. be sure to pst more. George even saw the capabilities in advertising his "pedal powered" subs on youtube. of course, he didn't decide to do that just yet.

As a naval architect and marine engineer i can tell do not try such a thing without supervision of a professional, it wont be an easy death you would face if you had made a mistake specht..

That looks like a lot of fun! Too bad the rain made the camera a little foggy. I can't wait to see more videos! :)

Definitely a hobby I would like to take up. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Specht11, it can dive to 350 feet. It's hard to name a price, these subs are all home built. If you can build it yourself, it can be done for about USD 15-20K. But if you were paying someone else to build one, maybe USD 150K. As you can imagine, there's quite a lot of labor, since you can't buy kits or components off the shelf.
