Warren Wilson College students explored the causes of homelessness through service projects, informational sessions, and focused discussions.
Through this workshop we gained a better understanding of the issues that people who are homeless face, and what we, as WWC students, can do to help.
Sponsored by the Service-Learning Office.
@tmc1964 : You're right that homelessness can't be eradicated as long as people are choosing it as a lifestyle. However, we're working to address chronic homelessness, which stems from a lack of affordable housing, lack of a living wage, a poor mental health system, and many other systematic issues that make it difficult for people to find homes. For most people on the streets, homelessness was not a choice, and they rely on those resources to survive from day to day and find housing.

I'm wondering how you are going to end something that is a popular choice of some people. Now more than ever there are so much resources to let them be that way and inable them to stay that way?
