I remember going to see this movie when it came out and I will never forget the ending The audience Had this WHOOO of disbelief and when the end credits rolled across Gary's tear streaked face you would have thought they had just attended wake and a lot of people walked out in muted silence.I'll just say this, In that theatre you could have heard a Rat pissing on cotton.

What a great movie. OVershadowed by other movies- Porkies, REvenge of Nerds, Sixteen Candles...etc I think everyone has been Gary at some point in their life...and every chick has behaved like Karen.

That last scence killed me back in the day.
Then later on in life thinking that if that movie had been in the 90s Gary would have busted out the 9mm..

actually no. This movie was a remake of 'Lemon Popsicle' an israeli movie by the same director (Boaz Davidson). The original also had the abortion and the movie was made in 1978. So if anybody ripped off anybody, it was the other way around.
