The timepiece is unique in a way. In the new caliber DW8050 developed by DeWitt the barrel-spring drives a miniature chain, which uses an intermediate wheel to activate the power reserve indicator sliding on a worm screw. The movement is the hand-wound tourbillon providing 72 hours of power reserve. The movement is based on 25 jewels and oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 bph.
