This is Bonnie's first baby, Jake, being born. Bonnie was shown on YouTube right after her birth about 9 months ago, and Bonnies mother, Bambi is also shown here.

Sweet Baby Jake lived only 8 days and died
from a common ailment known as "floppy kid
syndrome". We did everything we could to save him, but God took him home on March 26, 2008.

  • @Anna Your right, they are so very cute, we love them all. We have about 24 right now, from 9 years old down to 7 months old. We have begun selling some of them as pets, only to people we believe will love and care for them. It's difficult to give so many the love and attention we want to give, so we are thinning the herd. It's hard to let go of them, they can be sooooooo loving and fun.

  • I was told it's dangerous to have a goat get pregnant in her first year of life... Though, things can turn out great too. My sweet baby's mother was only 9 months herself, when she gave birth to healthy triplets!

  • We have had several goats give birth at 9 or 10 months without a problem. What I've learned is that this "floppy kid syndrome" can happen to any new born, regardless of the mothers age. We watch very closely now so as to be able to counter the problem if it should happen again.

I looked at your goat vids, they are wonderful. Baby goats can be so loving, and smart in their own way. We love all of ours. We now have 11 of our own. Thanks for the comment.

  • how about you just let the goat have its baby without ripping away at its ass..

  • We have been doing it for 5 years now. When any animal, even humans, have their first birth they often need help. The birth opening is often too small and they will rip and tear, and sometimes the newborn will die in the process. We did NOT, "rip away at her ass", we simply helped her by pulling the kid out as she was actually passed out from the pain. The kid would have died, and possibly the mother as well if we had not done this. We love these goats, and they love us.

  • pussy is bleeding

  • I probably shouldn't even reply to this comment. It is stupid and meaningless. Of course she is bleeding. What animal or human doesn't bleed when giving birth? Perhaps you simply wish to shock with your wording. This only proves your lack of knowledge of the language used to convey meaning.
