My pain in the ass driveway. When I watched this video clip of my driveway I noticed that it does not look nearly as bad as it actually is. Trucks or vans with decent ground clearance usually have no problem but automobiles close to the ground have considerable issues. The worst victim of my driveway was a Chevrolet Astro van...(virtually no ground clearance on this particular example)...that stayed in the middle while it went over the culvert. The end result was an oil pan that was peeled back far enough to expose the crankshaft and main bearings. The engine was a complete loss because the damage was not noticed for a few miles. Another vehicle was damaged when a friend's brother claimed he could traverse the drive at thirty-five miles per hour in some damn sub-compact. He snagged the exhaust system and left everything from behind the head pipe laying on the ground. I do not even maintain the driveway anymore. I probably should get out there in the spring to cut back the thorn bushes because they love to reach out to passing vehicles and make them look like they were keyed. Each spring the small stream by my house floods and my driveway looks like a tiny river. After the water recedes there are all kinds of new ruts and cuts in it and I do not wish to go broke buying gravel. Most of my friends simply park at the end and walk back.
