Yeah, I remember seeing this episode and thinking that he wasn't being a bigot or hurtful, he just doesnt really have a filter between his head and mouth, and Lily was just getting used to it and dealing with her own negative feelings.

I like the way Luke is straight forward and knows that he has to deal with people like Brad, who I don't think is a bigot, but ignorant. There is a difference. A bigot would beat luke up, someone who's ignorant would say those stereotypical comments.
