  • I found Glass's words concerning how the spectator finds his own experience within the flow of images to be analogous to how a listener can hear his music. Within all the repetitions and pulses there are moments of ambiguity which the mind pulls this way or that. The notes may repeat, but the mind is finding its own novelty in the way it moves its attention.

  • "no space for the spectator to move in" aha! that's why i can think whilst listening to his music!

  • i remember u. here u have the cool american jew and there u have the pseudo-intellectual brit stiff. nothing wrong with crossing legs, btw, (i do it), but this dude's just so ... much, u know

  • Vindicated at last

  • ha ha. i would've given u a thumb up but ur thumbs are faded out. the haircut and the damn crossing of the legs! so pretentious intellectual kinda way to sit.

  • The listener and the spectator are often the same person but confusingly (to some) not always so, hence ambiguity (a human condition). This ephemeral situation is quite obvious -- flux.

Ego enters the fray and will always pull this way and that...

  • Glass is a genius!!

  • could someone transcript Glass' words, to help non-english people understand what he says?

  • what a mind
