Since I been livin' out on the left coast
I been missin' Thankgivin' with those I love most
I got many fine memories of 917
And if I take a little trip in my time machine
I see photos of the kids all sprawled on the floor,
Hide and seek was the game du jour
But times have changed for sure, the kids have grown indeed
All they wanna seek now is Mimi's stash of weed

But the age old reason we rally 'round the table
Is to share all the ways in which we are grateful
Any other time of year a simple "thanks" will do
But now that Thanksgiving's here I'll spell it out for you

T is for the table with the turkey on top
We got so much food we're gonna feast 'till we pop

H is for the house and how we make it a home
Repeat after me y'all this house is a home

A is for the airlines by which we're reunited
Our flight last night was kind of tight but we're delighted

N is for my nieces, nephews and cousins
I got top class relatives by the dozens

K to the S is my Kali Sakai
Of course Kelly Shannahan is an exceptional guy
But my Kali keeps me kickin', the kitten has got class
Since I met my wife my life has been a blast

Now if I picked one letter for each way I am blessed
I could spell out the whole Gettysburg address
But there's a time for rap and a time to wrap it up
So pile on your plate and fill up your cup
And let's propose a toast to our most gracious hosts
Before we all become totally engrossed
In this cornucopia which we share once again
