@gfine2000 It's probably a mostly white chapter. The rest of the sorority as a whole definitely has diversity, but you can't put in the token black just to make a point.
By far I'm not accusing anyone of discrimination. I was just wondering why there aren't any women of color in any of the videos. I know someone of color who is part of this sorority and they love being a part of such a great organization and sisterhood. Again, when they shot these videos why haven't they ever included women of color? If the person who shot the videos were really considerate of their sisters of color, they would not have forgotten that one important detail of inclusiveness.
@gfine2000 Ummm... I'm half black, and I joined Alpha Chi Omega. I also have black girls in my sorority and I love them to death. I love all my sisters. We don't discriminate. Don't worry, we love everybody :}
@Hellscope1 You've just answered your own question! Apparently you don't give a shit and most likely are racist because of it. No said anything about the sixties but you and I nevermind what I deem serious or not. Would you like me to tell you what to take seriously or not? You choose what you consider to be serious or not don't you? Your response to my comment shows you're taking it very serious yourself and by using profanity only shows your lack of intelligence in the matter.
@gfine2000 Who gives a shit if there are people of color in a damn video or not? You'll fit in fine, obviously. This isn't the 1960s. Stop taking this race shit so seriously.
My question to Al Chi is, how do you think women of color who would like to join this organization feel if they didn't see someone of their race included in any of the videos? and what about those women of color who are currently part of Alpha Chi, what do you think they feel or are thinking when the see all these videos that exclude women of color? Please, be cognizant, be considerate and be fairly inclusive to those women of color you call your sisters. Thank you.
Incidentally, this particular video mentions many honorable things such as, sincerity, joy, peace, appreciation and love while ironically and severely lacking the diversity this organization says it has. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Alpha Chi is a racist organization I just believe that they didn't take the time to consider their sisters of color to be part of the video. Maybe this particular chapter that created the video doesn't have women of color but I do wonder...
I understand your prospective on this issue but it still gives way to wondering if this particular sorority has members of color and never invited them or including them in the making of this video. The question still remains, does this particular chapter have women of color and if they do, why weren't they invited to be part of this video or why were they excluded? I don't know if it were intentional not to include them or exclude them but where are they (women of color)?
