Your argument here indicates that you seem to assume that ALL muslims take the quran this seriously, but in reality MOST muslims are muslim because they're either forced into it, their ancestors were forced into it, or both (usually both obviously). You are right, though, islam is and has been "a holy sword", not "the religion of peace".

If you actually believe in moral relativism, you are saying that your position on relativism is a truth that is absolute! This means that you believe in an absolute truth, which means you are not really a moral relativist, but that you get to pick and choose which truths are absolute and which truths are relative. There has to be a right answer to a given question concerning morality. According to Mussolini: "There is nothing more relativistic than fascism."
