This whole concert sets the gold standard of R&B/Soul.

The stax guys had a different take than their Detroit cousins. Neither better than the other,both great but different. Duck, Al Steve and Booker were one of the greatest bands ever, not to take anything from the Funk Brothers. I've been playing for a long time and when its not feeling right I go back and listen to these guys to get on track

Thanks for posting this John. Just visited the Stax museum in Memphis last September and read Rob Bowman's comprehensive history of Stax, "Soulville USA" which mentions this tour. It gives me goosebumps to see all of these greats sing these songs that I love while they were in their prime.
