Kappie Kappenman, caller; Vivian Williams, fiddle; Phil Williams, guitar; Judy Webster, bass, videoed in the early 1990s by Phil's brother, Mike. The tune is Ragtime Annie. Vivian and Phil started playing for Kappie at the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. The Aqua Barn was a major square dance hall in the Seattle area for generations. It was torn down for townhouses a few years ago, the loss of another memorable dance facility. You can hear more music from Phil and Vivian on CD's from Voyager Recordings at www.VoyagerRecords.com

  • Well, I thought I had watched all your videos. How did I miss this? 'Course you two are always wunnerful - especially nice on this one. Kappie did a great job calling - liked his improv when some of the dancers apparently messed up a bit. Just a marvelous job by the entire band! I sure wish I had gotten acquainted with you early on & got to play some of the squares with you. Ramon
