My presentation will introduce Samba as well as provide a brief history. I will also speak about its African influences. Then I will discuss the cultural diffusion to and from the United States that took place which shaped a period of time when Americans introduced Samba to Jazz and vise versa. Creating a subtle Brazilian/ Samba undertone in both regions. ENJOY!!!!

  • I thought you had a great topic. It correlated alot to the theme of the class. You highlighted many points about Bossa nova music and also included background info. Great Topic

  • You were very knowledgeable about the topic and I liked how you tied together the different genres. I enjoyed your introduction and background music.

  • Good Video!!!

I liked your background music and natural speaking style. I thought the examples of Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra were good. I also liked your explaination of the Jazz Fusion...

  • I enjoyed your presentation because you looked relaxed and comfortable, which went with the theme of the presentation, and you looked like you enjoyed discussing the topic, because you were interested in it. I liked that very much because I felt like you were very knowledgeable of the information you were discussing, and you were also very well versed, and presented the information clearly and interestingly. I felt like we were having a conversation. Good work.

  • Cool, calm, collective! I like the fact you maintained eye contact with the audience but I did have to listen a bit closer to hear what you were saying. Otherwise good job with the info, music, and editing.

  • Your eye contact was great!!! You really know what you are talking about and I can tell that you actually enjoy the music and appreciate it's history. It was great that you added a song by Gilberto because we read a lot about him throughout the class. Smooth presentation...

  • I really enjoyed the fusion song that you have at the end. I was wondering what the name of the song is? Very informative video!

  • I like the background music, but you should have spoken louder! Got a good feeling of just people sitting around and discussing, a relaxed and easy way to listen and learn about what you had to present. Also, good work on presenting the work in a chronological manner, so the information flowed well, just like the actual music did.
