Contrary to persistent press rumours, I was not at any kind of conversion ceremony for Michael Jackson. Nor, I believe, was Dawud Wharnsby or any of the others mentioned in connection with the story. – Yusuf Islam

Please don't hate me for saying this. But I can sincerely tell you that Micheal did not convert or revert to Islam. Yes, he admired some people within the Islamic community. Andrae Crouch, a friend and also a very talented musician visited Micheal together with his wife, just weeks before Micheal died. This issue was discussed, and Micheal was very clear about it. He wasn't a Muslim, even more, he wanted to record some Gospel songs Andrae wrote.
