Nickelback - Toronto August 9 2009 storm cancels concert

Nickelback @ Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto,ON Concert cancelled due to storm/lightning.

Well.. I had great seats... section 202 row B... but didn't get to see Nickelback because of the storm that blew in just after Hinder finished their set. :-(

Taken from Nickelback's website... "Fans who bought tickets for the August 9th show will be given a special password to purchase advance tickets to a rescheduled date for Nickelback in 2010. Details on this date and how to receive your password will be announced soon!"

I really feel sorry for the lawn ticket holders. They were told (asked) to go back to their cars just after the rain started. And then someone would tell them that the concert was going to go ahead. (which never happened) By the way.. how were they going to let a few thousand people out in their cars that the concert was going to start again? LOL

The good news... I think I'll stay with my "real fav" rock band and not bother with Nickel FN back that won't rebook another date for us here in Toronto! So Def Leppard... I'm sticking with you guys as when Joe got sick and had to cancel a Toronto date, you re booked another date for us fans.

The bad news... just received this letter moments ago from Ticket master...

Dude you can't be serious? do you honestly think that a shit thunder storm would scare them away from a concert, an executive decision was made that FORCED them to cancel it, they have a shit load of appreciation for their fans, yes it sucks you had to leave..but don't blame it on them they weren't counting on having to cancel any more than you were so cry ME and the rest of us a river, they wouldn't' have set the stage up just to prop the whole fucking misfortune, shit happens, not there fault.

was there with the wifey and 2 kids we had a great time, bought all the expensive shit (t-shirts, drinks ,etc) that was our choice. Now we get to have that great time all over again with hopefully new opening acts even though those ones were great., first crack at seats (all is good) whoever made the decision to cancel made a dam good one
