No man, 'scalped' and graying is the new hairstyle of the '00s. For young people too. That's why deboradec3160 didn't recognize the unsung genius Bernie Taupin.
Virtually all these musicians nowadays want to look scalped and sad and gray and bald and old. I laugh my a** off every time people arrogantly tell me this looks far better than wearing a toupee or tasteful wig!

What's all this "I know somebody who knows somebody who knows someone famous" here? You people crazy? Either you know a person or you don't know them. Knowing somebody who knows them means shit. That makes you an insufferable braggart.

Just to put it in perspective. Bernie writes the lyrics & Elton writes the music. You put the two together & it becomes a song. Words alone are not a song, their just words. When you put them to music, then it's a song. So Bernie again is a lyricist/poet & Elton is a singer/songwriter/musician. Together they are songwriters. Together they are fantastic!!!!!!!

I know this sounds lame but here goes. I dont know Bernie or Elton but my mom is Bernies Moms Carlotta's best friend her name is Joanie !!! I have never met either of them which makes this even more lame. ,I am certain by lyrics that they MUST have known Jesus which makes me continue to listen.I am a Christian I love his music!!!!Trust me I know he doesn't love christ now but his early songs say different.

I am from New Zealand,I went to Bernies Apartment a couple of times,Not that I knew it.
I am friends with Scott Weinger(Voice of alladin,Full house etc) and stayed at his apartment a couple of times.
It was not till a couple of years latter after he moved that his sister told me that Bernie Taupin lived in the room next door,That certain explained,IF I recall correctly,The Ferrari in the Basement carpark.

Nice to see them interviewed together, which is rare since the 70's. The usually stay in two different rooms and take turns.
