  • Does this recycle fog?

If not does it require refilling with nutes more often?

    Thank great vid!

N8 this one does not put roots in water.

An expensive 1 min on timer may make fogger work good without heating water.

  • The fog condenses and then collects in the bottom, I built a type of overflow so a shallow pool always remains in the bottom, the rest drains back into the humidifier output. It worked pretty good but I didn't glue the stand, I just pushed all the PVC parts together tightly and after while it collapsed...I decided to retire the thing and cannibalized the parts

  • not bad... but I made mine with a Sunbeam Cool Mist Humidifier lol. I Drilled some big holes in the bottom/sides and set it in the bottom of the bin allowing the whole bottom of it to be the reservoir (fill less often). instead of using a piece of pipe to vent mist into the bin, I connected it to the air intake part of the humidifier. this allows the unit to run inside of the bin continuously without worrying about moisture getting to the motor. and u can run the cord out through the vent pipe.

  • Do you have any pics??? Id love to see it!

You could also upload them to my website if you want

  • are nutrients taken up and dispersed in a fogging system??

  • Can the humidifier handle a nutrient-solution? How do you accommodate the other nutrients besides water?

  • How is the fog created different from the expensive fog or mist machines that are sold exclusively for plants? Or is it the same? I'd much rather make one like this and save a bunch of money. Thanks!

  • i tried a fogger in on my tomattoe plant i used a coffee can plastic..it killed my plant the water was HOT! so dont use in a small pot.

  • This is a pretty good example of how to build one. I've been a bit curious on how to easily build a homemade one and it looks like I'll be able to convert my existing aeroponics setups into this.
