I went to the 'tent city' in Ontario CA Sunday 4/4/09 to see if I could get any footage or interviews with residents. I walked the perimeter on the public sidewalk and found one young man in his 20's who was in his car going through some paperwork. He said he lived there, and when I asked him about the colored wristbands mentioned in an LA Times article.
He said "oh, that was a long time ago, over a year'. He was correct, as the LA Times article recently circulated is from March 18, 2008. Read it here:

'Ontario residents only' at Tent City
March 18, 2008

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tents18mar18,0,494522,full.story

He was not wearing a wristband. Two other guys didn't want to talk on camera. A woman resident then started cursing and shouting to the security guard that I was taking pictures.

I was then approached by a SECURITAS security guard who was patrolling the property. He said he had been called by a resident who didn't want anyone taking pictures. he said the camp was based after Sheriff Joe Arpaio's

camps in the Arizona desert.
He spoke of the damage the Democratic party had done to the state. I told him I was a libertarian and he said
he's surprised the Republican party didn't support Ron Paul. I told him I was doing some freelance work to submit for a story for INFOWARS. The guard knew of Alex Jones, who he had heard on George Noory's show on Clearchannel's KFI.
He said "Alex is pretty sharp on stuff, he knows what's going on". I noted how the camp was nearly empty, and the guard explained they kicked everyone out who had not previously been a resident of Ontario, then concluded "the way the economy's going i wouldnt be surprised if it starts expanding".

  • way to go martin/garko...that security guard was really cool... i really like this kind of "citizen journalism" you guys do...

its the only way were going to get honest reporting....

we've given up on mainstream media in this house....

keep up the fine work....look forward to more on this !

  • Umm... Securitas is a private company, the guard works for them and is opayd by them. Yes the goverment pays to the company to do the job but still, i think there is a difference.

  • @ramusling Are you kidding? security are not paid by your taxes, learn what your talking about next time!

  • hilarious what the dems did to california is only make it the 5th largest economy in the world. the most progressive state created the silicon chip, the internet, the computer music and culture. what has arizona produced but fascist rent a cops like this who break the constitution. Yeah arizona has done more for society than california under republican control.

  • he is not an officer you moron he is civilian security guard who has to follow the constitution just like everyone else. you should read it sometimes. Freedom of press on public property which my tax dollars pay for.. the security guard should have told that homeless lady who complained if she didnt like being filmed from the street maybe she should get a job and live in a gated community or move her fuckin tent. you get what you pay for in life. If anything she should want media coverage

  • @OrganicThumb420 these officers are trying to make a living like anybody else so shut your mouth u fuckin stoner

  • actually security isnt supposed to police public sidewalks. And any citizen has a constitutional right to film as long as your not on private property. Once again these rent a cops feel like to above and beyond their call of duty. Dont taze me bro

  • El que hizo este video es un guarada fustrado.

  • God help us all

  • I wave the AIG flag because that's what my taxes go to. them and every other bank that gets bailout money instead of helping the homeless !

  • Sense when does securitas officers get paid by our tax money. They get paid by the client. DUHHHHH. If we did get tax money I would like to see it added to my already great paycheck.
