This is a song all about my Grandma, Dorothy Day, to celebrate her 80th Birthday. It took a week to make and Im quite pleased with how it turned out.
Lyrics:
Aaaa
Gran
Gran
Grandmaaaaa
80 years young
Happy birthday grandma
Born in 1928
80 years and each one great
Many happy decades met
Lets hope this is the best one yet
Birmingham bound first of all
Till you trained to teach at school
Where they made you learn RP,
Thank god! Or wed all speak brummie
Stage managed for the Handbag play
And there you first met Grandpa Day
Brought up 4 kids through British weather
Susan, Graham, Mike and Trevor
80 Years Young
Happy Birthday Grandma
Through marriage and birth the family grew
Wives and husbands, Grandchildren too
For a weekend you took over from our father and mother
And it took you a whole month to fully recover
Youve many achievements to freely tout
From being arkela of the scouts
To head of a school in Battersea,
But not being as Scottish as youd like us to believe
Born in 1928
80 years and each one great
Many happy decades met
Lets hope this ones the best one yet.
80 years young
Happy Birthday Grandma.
Those Days' are a talented lot!
