Thank god for the beatles!! They did yesterday so the stones did this, the beatles did the sitar thing so the stones did paint it black, the beatles did got to get you into my life so the stones did their motown thing, then the beatles did strawberryfields and i am the walrus- at that point the stones gave up- but still i like the stones better. Let it be then let it bleed. Once the beatles broke up the stones got in to their own thing without having to copy the fab four.

It's credited to both,maybe Richards came up with the chord progression then Jagger the melody/lyrics or maybe vice versa,you never know! We'll have to ask them.
