Gran Turismo 2 Arcade Mode weird replay

Pick any car, go to any track, brake before the starting line (don't make the timer start). Then drive backwards, turn, brake, do whatever you want. Then drive back, cross the start line, do something else and then watch the replay. Compare your actions before the starting line to those which are displayed on the replay.

hehe thanks =) although it does look like cheats - anyone not involved into the GT2 would probably be like "hey you cheater, look, even the replay went wrong, don't tell me you were doing everything legally" =)

I think its just a bug in the game. Usually a lot of people, about 99%, when they start the first lap, they dont go backwards. Testers from Sony and Polyphony didnt check this.

Something simular to this happened once when i was playing driver 2, it was on a real ps1 and i was driving around but in the replay i hit a wall and kept driving into it just like the replay here, i'm thinking that not starting the timer has nothing to do with the car reacting like that and that it reacted like that by itself, did you try doing that a second time?

it did this on the original driver for ps1 aswell. its like it could store a certain amount of footage but once the storage was full, it made the rest up
