Traditional fiddle tune that's a lot of fun to play and not difficult to learn.

  • really enjoyed that thanks for posting!! and the encouragement that its not too difficult-im goin to give it a go now on mando. i ve recently started tho i play guitar, and notice on youtube most mando players use just the three fingers to fret - is that the way to go? thanks again for the inspiration.

  • Thanks for the comment. Do not look to me for the *right* way to do anything as I am self-taught. I can tell you that in first-position (frets 2 - 5), where most fiddle tunes fall, the first three fingers are generally all that are needed. The pinky is needed to jump up to the B on the E string. I have a very weak and crooked pinky, so I avoid using it for even the B if I can get away with it. I highly recommend joining the Song-a-Week group on Mando Cafe. You can learn a TON there.
