This is a rare, priceless video.
I bought my first Johnny Rodriguez album in 1975. I still have it. I even got my college room mate (much more modern) to become a fan of Johnny.
I watched Johnny on Country Family Reunion recently and told about his friendship with other Country music icons. I think he also sang this song. I recorded it on my VCR (I don't record anything on the DVR).

Quarter in the jukebox at the Sweet Shop back in the day bought three songs. This song always got played. Saw him perform in our town a few years ago. Awesome.

Love this song. Given to Johnny by Lefty Frizzell. Written by Lefty Frizzell and Sanger D. Shafer. Just a beautiful song. Could never figure out why Lefty didn't keep it for himself but he really like "Riguez" as Lefty called Johnny. Maybe it was just to help Johnny out. Anyhow, great song, thanks for sharing it.
