May we stick to the TRUE TEACHINGS OF OUR INSTRUCTORS and not look for faults or flaws in them, but truly follow and honor the PURE ESSENCE OF WHAT WAS BEING CONVEYED to the masses people, both students and

YOU SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE CAME TO THE TABLE WALKING AWAY THINKING THAT THEY GOT THE FULL MEAL, WHEN IN REALITY THEY ONLY GOT THE CRUMBS! How does one surpass the Instructor? EASY...WHEN THAT INSTRUCTOR HIMSELF HAS INFORMED ONE THAT THEY HAVE SURPASSED HIM. The Legendary Dr. Moses Powell never said such a thing, but in fact he was told this by his Instructor.

He wasn't afraid to take a person to one of the
highest levels in the Martial Arts, if HE THOUGHT THAT THIS INDIVIDUAL DESERVED IT! Doing so didn't present any type of threat to him, because HE WAS SANUCES and THERE WAS SO MUCH TO LEARN AND MASTER, THAT EVEN AT THE 10TH DAN YOU FOUND OUT THAT YOU WERE STILL A BEGINNER IN THIS UNIQUE ART OF HIS AND THE ONLY WAY THAT YOU WERE GOING TO BE NOURISHED, WAS BY STICKING TO THE MEAL PLAN OF THE DOCTOR!

Everyone tries to equate Sanuces and its Ranking System to the Japanese or other ethnic martial arts, when the same rules do not apply! Dr. Powell stepped out of that arena and did things his own way, whether people liked it or not! The 'DOC' was unique in doing this. The Japanese and other ethnic martial arts leaders would not promote a person for one reason or another and so Dr. Powell had it so in Sanuces that he could promote many Shihans, Professors and Grandmasters.

With all due respect Sir, The Head of Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu is and FOREVER WILL BE...THE LEGENDARY DR. MOSES POWELL! There are those who were promoted to the rank of 10th Dan by Dr. Moses Powell himself, but IT NEVER MEANT THAT THOSE INDIVIDUALS HAD SURPASSED DR. POWELL, FOR HE WAS SANUCES RYU!

@warriorwithindojo Lastly, a brother once asked me why I am so hard on the brother that does not pray and I explained to him that salat not only serves to purify us from sins, but it keeps the ego in check due to the need to humble oneself inorder to prostrate. My models have always been the Rasullullah (AS), The 4 RC and the forgotten characters of Hassan and Husayn. You have continued to be humble inspite of my sometimes crash manner. May Allah bless you for your patience.

@warriorwithindojo fighting; he is talking about KARATE! I have said that if a boxer has an aversion to biting, he is not talking about fighting; he is talking about BOXING! because inner city dojos did not charge much if anything, enrollment was not important so the quality of teaching was better. IT WAS "GO HARD OR GO HOME". Those things will be said on youtube by myself as well as other things in the coming months as I have been asked to address certain things.
