  • bueno, no puedo colgar todos los que grabé porque youtube sólo admite un máximo de 100 mb y algunos son más grandes, como es el caso de los letones.

    Lo siento.

  • beasty!

  • mas maganda pala to pag ganito kabagal. nice

  • well this is the best vid on here of this piece other than the Philippine Madrigal singers. tempo is better slow because thanks to lots of HOT SHOT choral directors think that this piece needs to go 190. at this tempo at least it is controlled. detail was wonderful until the final burst, personally the tenors and altos are shouting more than driving that section. its important to be going somewhere in a phrase no matter how unimportant it may seem.

  • Yeah, listening to it again makes me cringe at the tenor solo section--it is too much in the throat and forced.

Also, much of the intonation is just a bit off. You can hear it in the beginning passages. The counter-rhythm is also a hair imprecise and I can hear two tempi.

  • I don't like the tempo. The score says "Allegro," which 132 - 144 bpm and they are at times @ 126 bpm! Too slow to truly bring out the character of the piece. Some of their softer dynamics are slower in tempo.

The tenors sound a little constricted at the beginning.

It's a nice job, but not great. (See Phillipine Madrigal Singers for excellent tempo interpretation and superior vocal production.

  • I like the tempo, I feel like the intensity was there the entire time, especially during the quiet parts. The nice thing about it being an older choir is that the participants can retain, and appreciate, the quiet intensity more than, say, the average highschooler.

  • The song should be sung faster, and not to "cover up mistakes", but because its more interesting and much better to create the entire of mood of the song. Of course these people are amazing, but thats why they should have been able to sing it faster and without mistakes. So your wrong, the song is meant to be fast, but the way these people did it was fine.

  • It's sad that people think this piece should be so much faster. This choir kept from speeding up (which is hard to do since it's easy to get excited while performing this) and kept a balanced sound. The 'choppiness' was intended by Orban to create a haunting effect. It should also sort of creep up on the listener and then nearly slap them in the face near the end. It was great to hear a choir that could handle this piece and didn't need to sing at a fast tempo to cover up its sloppy mistakes.

  • ok job.

  • Too choppy.
