In Between States: field notes

In Between States is a visual research project that investigates the connections between two adjacent sites -- a post-World War II displaced persons camp and a present-day corporate industry park located on the western edge of Frankfurt, Germany. Piecing together fragments of photographic documentation and site-specific physical evidence, In Between States examines how community and corporate efforts to disassociate with the past enabled the erosion of cultural memory, obscuring responsibility and altering local historical narratives.
