Isan doesn't mean northeast. Isan is located in northeast but its lands belong to laos. Isan people are lao people, just thai citizen since thailand control it now. If the other race moved into Isan then they are whatever they race or blood are But as for the original isan people that lived there ARE lao people just only thai citizen. Some of the old timer lived there in Isan can NOT even speak thai language or bankok language. They speak lao language.

@MadRawrMusic. I just want young generation Lao people the fact of the history of khonelao. The truth of history of Laos has twisted a lot. I have to write to all khonelao people to know the fact. Most Lao older people do not write or good English. If I don't write, our young Lao people will not have enough weapons to fight off attackers. So I have to write in this way. But if Lao people want to know more about the truth history, welcome, especially for those patriots.
