The Raleigh

a song written by a Nottingham writer (as far as I remember) about finding oneself in the wrong job - in his case, working at the Raleigh. I heard it often at The Scheme folk club in Nottingham and it was on the record "Folk Nottingham Style" way back in the 60s or 70s - if anyone knows the writer's name, I'd be glad to add it to this posting - he certainly deserves credit for it!

Just think though,if it wasnt Raleigh the song would have ended up about Boots or Players, only that wouldnt have quite the same ring to it.
