Quake 3 ipod touch, Full version!, Custom maps!, 20-30 FPS, TUT

first you need a jailbroken ipod touch/phone!
AND your ipod must be ready to run ipa/apps files, search on google for the 'how to'
then download quake3 app:

SSH to your ipod and put it in /applications/quake3.app
set permissions to all files to 775
now you can play quake3 demo on your ipod!
now the full version, download here the full version of quake3:

ssh to your quake3.app
go to demoq3
now copy all the 'dylib' files and the default.cfg
go back to quake3.app and make a new map called 'baseq3'
paste there youre copied files (dylibs,default.cfg) and paste there also the .pak3 files from the full version of quake you,ve downloaded (1-8, +pak0).
set permissions to all files 775
delete the demoq3 map.
quake3 full version now works!

if you want custom maps: download a custom map and paste it in the baseq3 map. good site for q3 maps: http://lvlworld.com/

if you want better controls (first play you will see that the controls sucks) put the 'autoexec' in the baseq3 map, link:

aiming with 1 finger
shoot with 2 fingers
crouch with 3 fingers
exit to menu 4 fingers

IF YOU WANT TO SEE AN ICON:
SSH to /private/var/mobile/Library/Caches and delete file com.apple.mobile.installation.plist , then reboot iPhone or install any app from Cydia .

I installed it right I think

but when I play it doesn't show my custom maps

and it sayys access denied and it doesn't say demo anymore

it would be so help ful if helped. Plzzzz

oh and Is there ANY way possible to get an analog stick or something cuz is just lame

if you had higher FOV i think this game would be easier, 130 or something, you could see everything then... your thumbs wouldnt block your view :)

Hey, if this doesn't work for u, go to Cydia and search for it. It's the demo, but it's better then nothing (if u want full version, do the same thing it says for activating it, but it will ask for a serial, so it's pointless)

@yankeesatit Oh HELL yeah! Quake 3 is universally cross platformed, which means I can play against you if I were on the original PC version and you with the iPod, along with some other guy on the Dreamcast version! ;)
