@Elaina43 lol It's quite BIG isn't it?

WOW - even with that build-up, I wasn't prepared for this much piercing of the darkness.

@Loreleila Oh, I understand the magnitude of the achievement, being able to find any space in Britian that's not cheek by jowl with neighbours, or stacked in layers... I too, choose to live out of sight of anything Manmade... The Lit Up Neighbour's Neat White House with Red Roof & White Picket Fence ;went up so quick, it's called Legoland by older Locals.. I think they're doing Suburbia, solo, in a Sheep Paddock. Fun to watch...!

@borgduck Understood. I don't think I'd be so happy out here if I didn't have my own transport.

@Loreleila No, I LOVE it! But I don't drive, & the bus to the nearest town only runs a few hours, on certain days.

They are going to have a big electricity bill thats for sure. I've seen a lot less of that this Christmas in my town. Saving money I suppose. Yes its difficult to find anywhere isolated in The UK...maybe parts of Scotland.

@gizzytiersen I imagine it must cost a fortune to keep one of these going. When I was plunged into darkness a few weeks ago a friend suggested it could be this that caused it. Scotland is definitely one of the few places you can be truly isolated in Britain. Cornwall comes a close second. :)
