hey paraohz.
words in themselves dont have any power. its the power we attach to it. Tabooing a word automatically gives it power.
words can also change their significane over time too. and also its context. for example: "elegant nigger, beautiful nigger" sounds nice. . what do you think about the words chink, sudaca, wop, redneck, etc?

I think using it gives it power, sorta like an light switch; when u turn that switch on it generates power but when turned off has no power at all. So if we as black people just brush our shoulders off and not use the word, that would be a statement of POWER. U gotta remember this word has a history, should we embrace that? something we never where. To embrace it would give whitey a kinda perverted satisfaction

what does nigger mean? right. but you cant abolish a word but we can make it taboo. which is what has happened (in the media but not between "niggers!") but if we make it taboo then that gives it power, because we are saying this word is so strong we mustnt use it. its a stigma used by those in power (whitey). so the best thing is embrace it to the hilt and then it wont have any power. take it over.
