The "traditional well" footage was taken on 11/23/2008 by World Vision employee Larry VanDyke in a remote area in Southern Zambia that World Vision is just beginning to work in. Heartbreakingly, that well is the only source of water for more than 200 people.
Team World Vision Director Michael Chitwood took the rest of the footage between 10/16/2008 and 10/22/2008 in Musele, Zambia. Michael, Ryan and Sara Hall, Chris and Sally Miller, and Kristina Olkowski visited Musele after the 2008 Chicago Marathon, in which almost 1,000 Team World Vision athletes raised over $1,000,000 (including child sponsorships). The money is going to support a 3-year clean water project that will improve the lives of more than 90,000 people.
Athletes and donors, thank you for partnering with Team World Vision. We hope to see you next year!

Wow, so glad I could be a part of helping this community through helping donate to a friend who ran in Chicago.
