The Lucy Show - Lucy and Paul Winchell (2/4)

In this episode, Lucy assists Paul Winchell with setting up a new account. The two hit it off and Winchell tells Lucy that she can call on him if she ever needs a favor.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mooney has been trying to find a celebrity to entertain at a dinner the bank is having at the Beverly Ritz Hotel but has no luck. Lucy remembers Winchell's offer and visits him to ask for his help.

Paul Winchell's legendary ventriloquism skills are featured and a number of Winchell's puppets are displayed.

Snitchy the Snail that Paul has in the opening scene here appeared on The Dick Van Dyke snow. In that episode,Rob,Sally,& Buddy fear they will be fired by Alan Brady.So Rob checks out a ventriloquist(Paul Winchell as another character)who is looking for comedy writers. During the interview,Jellybean the snail,keeps hitting Rob on the head with a ruler.Hilarious scene.

I have watched I Love Lucy every day for the last 15 years, and am JUST getting into The Lucy Show. I just finished watching the one where Lucy and Viv go to the beatnik club and the dancing scene had me on the floor! It was hilarious! I am really diggin The Lucy Show.
