POTTERS BAR IN THE 1940s. A 134 BUS PASSES THROUGH POTTERS BAR HIGH STREET. IT GOES PAST LADBROOKE SCHOOL. BLINK, AND YOU'LL MISS IT. THOUGH I THINK THIS IS THE LATE 1940s, IT COULD BE THE 1950s. THIS SNIPPET CAME FROM A TIMESHIFT DOCUMENTARY ABOUT PUBLIC INFORMATION FILMS. I DON'T RECOGNISE THE POINT WHERE THE BUS STOPS, IT LOOKS LIKE A DIFFERENT TOWN TO ME. YOU CAN SEE A NISSAN HUT JUST BEFORE THE BUS STOPS. I DONT THINK THERE EVER WAS A NISSAN HUT IN POTTERS BAR.

What is the population of Potters Bar?

I last heard that the population of Potters Bar was about 48 Thousand. But I am unsure if that includes the surrounding small Villages, or just Potters Bar on it's own.

i used to live there in the seventies but eventually moved out as the cripple population had exploded to incredible proportions and as a result i couldnt get a seat on the bus or a council flat.

Populaton of PB in 1968 when my family moved in from Tottenham was 26,000. It didnt change drastically until at least after i left and before any major development in 1989. arkynic

When I was a little boy - and took one of those buses - I slipped whilst it was still traveling (it was raining and wet) and I went flying out into the main road on me bottom!
