The bike: 19" Marin Larkspur hybrid road bike. 250w front hub motor (700c), 37v 10ah lithium polymer ion battery (5lbs). 25 mile rang.

Question thou, when pedling beyond the 18mph is the engine still assisting in any way or is it just like pedling a normal bike where the motor can't exceed the rpm required to assist beyond 18mph??

@mrsgw1 no, it gives it power even going down hill up to 30mph at witch point it can be faster to let go of the throttle. at around 25mph it's half me and half the bike.

jeez thats quiet, you could easily have a conversation with people you pass. i have a 72 cc gas engine and people at least hear it 25 feet away, (which acts as a good horn, vroom)
